PORTO ALEGRE - RS
POA is the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul. The city boasts more than 80 awards and titles that distinguish it as one of the best capital cities to live, work, do business, study and have fun in Brazil.
I lived near POA and I used to love walking around. There are such many beautiful places, streets with a lot of trees and such clean parks like Parque Moinhos de Vento (Parcão).
People are very hospitable. There, almost everybody drinks chimarrão among their friends or their family, offering it to other visitors. There are lots of restaurants and bars with very good food.
Seasons
are well-defined in Porto Alegre. When it's winter, it gets too cold and when
it's summer, it gets too hot. In this
week, At this time of the year, the Farroupilha Camp is held at Parque Harmonia, which is a
traditional event of the city.
