My favorite city

PORTO ALEGRE - RS

POA is the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul. The city boasts more than 80 awards and titles that distinguish it as one of the best capital cities to live, work, do business, study and have fun in Brazil.

I lived near POA and I used to love walking around. There are such many beautiful places, streets with a lot of trees and such clean parks like Parque Moinhos de Vento (Parcão).

 People are very hospitable. There, almost everybody drinks chimarrão among their friends or their family, offering it to other visitors. There are lots of restaurants and bars with very good food. 

Seasons are well-defined in Porto Alegre. When it's winter, it gets too cold and when it's summer, it gets too hot. In this week, At this time of the year, the Farroupilha Camp is held at Parque Harmonia, which is a traditional event of the city. 

How to be a better English learner

First: have an interest in learn the new language. When you've a good reason for learn English, you engage more. There are several ways that can help you practice English. Here in this text are some of them.

Have more contact with language. Watch shows and movies in English with subtitle in English too. You're going to train your mind with the sound of words. Begin read small texts in English and then move up to more challenging texts. It will be easy for you to memorize how to write words. And do things that you like envolving English, like games, listen to music. The main objective is to keep in contact with the language on your daily activities.

However, if you have the opportunity to travel to an English speaking country it will be better. I think that this is the best way to learn English. But, you can have other reasons for learn English, for example if you need for a job. So, look for the best way for you.
